Happy Hump Day Wednesday

Hey guys & gals,

I have been MIA for a long time now and decide to share some sweet "thank you" cards I had made for a friend. Nothing special, but I was able to incorporate some old TGF stamps and I have been wanting to put those cute adorable stamps into good use.

First thank you card...I used this cute little hula girl which I have always adored.
I used a decorative background paper which I have been waiting to use forever now... Love how the background does so much for the card. I had lots of fun, very simple yet looks like hard work! Stamped the flower on colored paper, copiced the middle to add a little shadowing and cut them out. And of course I needed to add a little sparkle in the middle...used a cute Mahalo saying and there you go!

For some reason when coloring the two images for my cards, I had some what picked out very similar colors schemes and here it is...Another TGF classic.

I copiced her entirely, paper pieced her head piece and add a little sparkle. Very simple card, used different borders and angles of the paper to create this. Used the stamp image tag from Stamping up.

Hope you enjoyed them! I will be putting up more pics soon of my holiday creations :D!!!

Cards that Care

Hey everyone, this is the beginning of my very first blog hop to promote "Cards that Care" over at Ling's Design Studio. You must have hopped over from Judy Marino. If you haven't yet, please visit her wonderful creation for "Cards that Care."

So what is this all about? Ling and her friend Jennifer McGuire decided to team up once again to hold a wonderful card drive "Cards that Care," to spread the joy of the holidays to elderly that live in nursing homes. What a great cause isn't it? "Giving is caring."

For this awesome cause I will be sending them this cutie of a card...from SOG girls Winter Mae. Just added some die cut Christmas trees, buttons, snowflakes, a little glitter, and some "fur" :)

And here's a close up...

With our creativity we can bring a happy jolly smile to these elders and what better way to give back to the community right?!? So, bust out those holiday papers, stamps, embellies and start making those wonderful Holiday/Christmas cards.

Please go over to Ling's Design Studio to see the list of blog hoppers and their holiday inspirations.  While there don't forget to check out the details of how you can help.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone,

What are you this year? Unfortunately I was too busy to pick up any costumes this year...so I'm myself this year :D. I just wanted to come by and share with you a short blog today and wish everyone a Happy and Safe Halloween. Today's weather on the Big Island of Hawaii is perfect for trick-or-treating...blue skies, sunny, PERFECT!!!

Here's a little goodie bag that I put together for my nephews and niece. Nothing much, a little ghost box/bag and I embellished them with their personalized names. I also add a little cute juice bottle I found at Walmart. I was really happy with these, and thank goodness I only had to make 4 :P...

Have a great Halloween everyone...take care!

Halloweenniee!!!

Happy Friday!

Halloween is literally just around the corner! Can't believe it came so fast, I remembering seeing all these Halloween decorations and candy at the department store and thought "Wow, Halloween is bit early this year huh?" And look, there's only a few more days! So, I'm not much of a Halloween person, but I found some stamps and digital images that I thought would be super fun to make a card with. I'm actually stuck with Halloween cards and no one to give...hmmmm. It's okay it was super FUN making them!

Here they are, these images were mostly found online. The web world is so good to us crafty people. Love it! I got images and svg all on the web, used my cricut to cut out the little bats you see, and everything else were "FREE" digital images. Used Halloween paper and wahhhlllaaaa...here they all are.

All that scraps- Pippi, she's adorable, I had her for a while and never inked her but thought she would be perfect in a Halloween Card.

Here's a close up...

Sister Stamp- 4th Release!!!

Oh my goodness...this is my 3rd post of the day...its got to be a record for me : D.

GONG HEE FAT CHOY to you all!!! (a little early but it's never to early for New Years...right?!?)

I am here again sharing with you the 4th Release of the Sister Stamps...YAY! I am super excited about this collection. I can actually make New Year cards this year and for Chinese New Years I can make little red envelopes for my niece and nephews, since Chinese New Years is a really big thing in my family :)! Super excited!

My most favorite New Years memory was my sophomore year in High School. It wasn't anything too special but I just remember I had my whole entire family come over for New Years and my cousin had just brought snow down from MaunaKea, all the kids gathered around and decided to build a snowman. I still remember all of us falling and slipping on the roads because it was wet and slippery from the snow, and having "numb" fingers while trying to build this snowman. It was an awesome New Years!

Thanks again for stopping by :)

Some Odd Girl Challenge- Black & White

Hey!!!

I have a huge list of things to do and cards to make to enter into all these amazing challenges going on right now. But, as of yesterday I only got ONE done! haha! I am entering into the SOG Black & White challenge. I just adore these odd girls, you can do so much with them.

Here's my card:

I used "Kimono Kaylee" I really like her, as you can tell throughout my blog I really enjoy and LIKE Asian themed "everything" and I just had to get her. I colored her with color pencils and used my favorite color (blue, aquas, turquoise) papers. I like how this came out, it's not as yellow as it seems on the picture but with the flash and lighting it threw it off a little. I used sliver pearls here and there and added a ribbon. Simply but sweet card.

Make sure to visit The Odd Girl- Kristy's 30th Birthday Celebration and join in with all the fun!

Have a great Throwback Tuesday!

Some Odd Girl- Kristy's 30th Birthday Celebration

Hey All,

It's been almost a whole entire month of "BIRTHDAY Celebration" over at Some Odd Girls for Kristy (Manager/owner of SOG) 30th Birthday. In addition to this whole month long blog and postings she has also included a lot of "CANDY" giveaways. There is ONLY a few days left of Kristy's Celebration, please go over to The Odd Girl and wish her a "Happy 30th Birthday" and check out all the "awesome" posts and blogs all month long!

Thanks for stopping by :D

ChallengeSsssssssss

Hello all,

I've been MIA for a while now, my weekends and weekdays have just been crazy. I was browsing all these amazing blogs and many challenges are going on right now, so I decided to get my butt in gear and enter in some of them.

First, challenge is Monday Funday Challenge over at TGF, a sketch challenge and over at Stamps R Us challenge Blog

Here's my take on this. I had to do this card twice because I was out of crafting for over a week and was very NOT inspired by anything, until LAST night, I put my act together and got this done.  Used  the TGF fairies and I adore that mushroom in that collection, "CUTE." I had watered colored the fairy a while ago and decide to put it in this brown, pink theme. Used Prisma flowers, liquid pearls ALL over the place and added some bling here and there.

Second, challenge I am entering in is the Lawnscaping Challenge:

This challenge was really fun, something I really enjoy doing..."PAPER PIECING." When all in doubt "paper piece!" :D. Since I am totally in the Holly Jolly mood, probably for another couple of months, I decided to use this Christmas collection stamp that I just picked up over at Island Scrapbooking. I liked how these stamps can be used for multiple purposes. And here it is....

That's it for today...Thanks for stopping by!

7 year Anniversary

It's been a few days since me and my boyfriends 7 year anniversary. I just wanted to share some things I made for that day.

My friend had generously volunteered his time and talent to do a photo shoot for me and my boyfriend. Although we got RAINED on, it was still fun to do something out of the ordinary. I didn't get the chance to look over the photo's yet but *crossing my fingers* that they came out nice. Otherwise he said we could schedule it another day :D.

To thank him, I created a card with Nobu and added a gift certificate. --------> I also paper pieced him. The funny story is when I did order my copics I totally forgot to order my blacks and had only ordered 100. So that is the only "black" pen I got to work with until I order again. :P

The next card I made was for my lovely boyfriend. It's a bit girly but I had A LOT of fun making this card. It was also my first time using doilies :D.

I used TGF's "50 sweethearts" digi...I've been wanting this digi for a while and finally decided to purchase it. I believe this was also my first attempt with copics, it came out a little funky.

That's it for today. Have a great rest of the week!

SOG Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone,

I've been pretty busy this weekend. It was Island Scrapbookings 8th anniversary sale this past Saturday, so my cousin and I had to attack the goodies on sale :D. We had so much fun...we got to make a Halloween make n' take project and I also received a prize during the first hour. YAY! Couldn't have been a better day.

Later in the evening my boyfriend and I was scheduled to do a photo shoot for our 7 year anniversary celebration :). It was really nice until it started to RAIN. It was kind of crazy and we still continued to take pictures with the overcast weather. :S

Okay enough of my nonsense, moving on to this blogs subject. I am entering into the SOG sketch challenge.

I decided to do something a little different this time, since Christmas is coming around the corner and I've seen so many people creating super CUTE tags, I decided to do one myself. I used "Penguin love Tia" as my focal point and used lots of Christmas paper to enhance it.

Here it is...hope you like it!

I will be back soon with more projects :D.

Sister Stamp 3 Collection...

Soooo...today I am finally showcasing my Sister Stamp Collection 3 cards that I made the other night. I was totally excited to get my hands on them and once I did, a trillion different ideas popped into my head! Yay...They are just sooooooo darn adorable. I LOVE UM :D. It's funny how I have all three collections and yet I find myself using the 3rd Collection the most. Maybe cause Christmas is coming around the corner : D!

Card # 1: Setsuna

I just had so much fun putting this card together. I finally got my copics and colored him with them (all of these images), still trying to learn how to use this medium :S but I'm managing : D. At first there was no Christmas tree by his side, and realized I just purchased a hero art Christmas Stamp with these amazing trees. He was my inspiration to continue making these other cards you see below:

Card # 2: Shimo-san

I had so much fun with card # 1, card # 2 just took me to the next level. Paper pieced their shawls and Shimo-sans hat and copiced the rest. Added a few snowflake embellishments and waaahhhhlaaa!!!

Card # 3: Yuki

Here's my last one. My mom really liked the details on this one. I paper pieced her out fit along with the stocking and colored the rest with Copics. Added a few embellishments here and there. I also used the Martha Stewart punch from last year for the snowflakes.

That's it for today! I will be back with my next projects soon :D.

TGF...Monday Funday Challenge

This is the Monday Funday Challenge on TGF... Yay!!!

I made this card a while back with an inspiration and idea of Valentines Day and L.O.V.E in mind!

I used scalloped heart punch from Martha Stewart, a circle scallop in the middle and of course Cheeky Rockability. I love this stamp! At the time I didn't have copic pens, but I managed with color pencils. The little embellishments really added to the card!

Wedding Season

Hey guys...how was your weekends? Mine was filled with LOTS of crafting : D. I had UOOOODDLLESSS of fun!!!

Soooooo...my inspiration for this post was my cousin and aunty's wedding coming up at the end of the year and the beginning of next year, 2012. My mom asked me to make two cards for their special occasion. I was in a "deep" thinking mood, on how I was going to create these wedding cards for them. I wanted them to be memorable and not cards that would be "thrown" away. I was even thinking of putting a disclaimer..."If you throw these cards away please RETURN to creator," something of that sort and my mom started to laugh.

Any whooo on to the cards...

For my cousins card it was sort of easy just because I knew the theme colors of their wedding so I went with: hot pink, grey, and black. They are a young couple so I chose the "engagement" stamp from S.W.A.L.K.

I apologize the picture from my iPhone is a bit blurry....but HERE IT IS!!! I think it was super cute...after brain storming to see what colors and paper went together, the card just came together as one with all the little embellishments. The clothing for the images, I had cut and paste different types of paper to match, it was at first colored but this fit a lot better. This was also my first time using feathers on a card...had soooooo much fun with it, feathers really can bring elegance to a card.

Okay, moving on to the second card for my aunty....I used a CC Design couple image. I had to start getting away from the pinks, whites, and blacks. For my next card I used a lot more "nature" tones, which I love because I didn't think I could make a card with this color theme.

And here's my 2nd inspiration from the weekend! I used lots of different shades of green, but I still had to add a touch of pink here and there. The bling and rhinestone embellishment made the card really pop. I also  added feathers in it...speaking of feathers I had a bit of trouble. I didn't have a pink feather as you can see right behind the flower, so I used stamps and inked a white feather. It actually came out great!

So there they are, my inspiration for the weekend.

*** had to add a nice picture ;)

Please come back, I will be putting up some of my Christmas creations with the Sister Stamp 3 collection...

Sister Stamp project

Happy Aloha Friday Everyone,

Soo I've been working on a project for a while now and I haven't really posted anything cause I did not have the chance to finish it yet. But I just wanted to share what I have together as of today.

My projects main focus are the sisters stamp characters. I love the them, all so VERY cute! Can't wait for the third collection to come out....YAY!!! Coming from Hawaii Asian themed items seem to be really inspring and eye catching

I have Ayako, Nobu, and Kiyomi featured on Shrink Film and placed on a clothes pin with a little boutique bow.  Then placed on a stick that is a magnet.

I am struggling to finish this project, please comment if you have any ideas.

Thanks!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Newbee to Crafting Blogging!!!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Annie and I come from a small town in Hilo, Hawaii and love to craft! This is my first blog and post, so I am really new to this. Never did I think I was going to start a blog, but why not let everyone see your creativity and ideas...right?!? I've seen lots of great bloggers out there with terrific ideas that I love and cherish. Please feel free to help this newbee out with blogging and crafting.

A little history about myself. I've always loved to craft and draw. But it wasn't until about a year ago when I bought my "Cricut" was when I really got into crafting and stamping. I've learning to use so many techniques and to use many different mediums since, and my collection has grown ever since thanks to all you crafty people.

For my first blog I just wanted to share some super cute Greeting Farm fairies that I painted with water color. I am also currently waiting for my copic pens to come in! :) I can't wait!!!

Before expanding my coloring techniques I was using regular Crayola coloring pencils and a few Prisma coloring pencils. It has worked but can get a little tedious at times. I have been always aware of copic pens and the wonders they can do with pictures, but just never had the heart to spend the money for them. And now with the price increase I decided to purchase them! But in the mean time I discovered water coloring and the fun effects it can bring to the pictures.

Please enjoy and comment as you please.

Thanks <3
